A label should identify, not reveal

A storage label may be seen by a visitor, mover, or anyone who handles a container. The code itself should act as an entry point—not as permission to read a private household inventory.

VEXELFOX Home treats the public label and private home data as separate layers. A scan can identify the container while account and household access determine what a person is allowed to see.

Practical labeling rules

Print for the environment where the code will live. High contrast, a quiet border, and a flat placement make scanning more reliable in garages, closets, and storage rooms.

  • Avoid placing codes across a fold or curved edge.
  • Use a larger label when the expected scan distance increases.
  • Test every label with more than one phone before relying on it.
  • Never encode passwords, access tokens, or sensitive notes.
03

Replace labels without replacing history

A damaged QR sticker should be replaceable without forcing a family to rebuild the digital container and its item history. Treat the physical label as a replaceable key to a durable container record.
